Job Description

ASOS platform and programme teams primarily work to an Agile methodology, delivering software enhancements iteratively and to a regular cadence, so a solid understanding and practical application of agile methodologies is essential. We also work with a number of 3rd party partners who may work with traditional waterfall methods so having some understanding of these and how we delivery programmes of work combining both methods is important. Communication to senior stakeholders will need to be delivery-/deadline-focussed, so the ability to reflect the delivery in a traditional plan is equally important.
As a Senior Project Manager within Flexible Fulfilment, You will join our existing Programme Management team, working closely Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers and Platform leads from our many platform teams, as well as acting as an interface between business and tech units.
Here at ASOS we are undergoing a large-scale digital transformation to enable us to move to a marketplace model with our partners and we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Flexible Fulfilment Programme team to deliver a number of strategic initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working with teams to resolve blockers, escalating as needed to programme level, keeping to agreed timelines
  • Coordinate the design of Acceptance Test Scenarios between programme QA, BA, Business
  • Cultivation and management of strong third-party relationships (integration partners and sellers), ensuring that all parties are aligned on a single delivery plan and all tasks tracked through to completion
  • Monitor the Acceptance test execution – coordinate the reporting with QA team, assist with blockers and prioritising resolutions with platform teams
  • Coordinate design with EA/Programme SAs and Platform SAs
  • Detailed coordination and tracking of software deliverables, rolling up to programme-wide delivery plan. Teams will be delivering to a prioritised backlog not pillar by pillar.
