Job Description

Shell Integrated Gas, Renewables & Energy Solutions (IGR&ES) is developing clean energy solutions to enable customers to meet their decarbonisation goals and deliver value to Shell as part of the Powering Progress Strategy.Global Customer Solutions (GCS) is responsible for driving the global customer agenda across our B2B and B2C businesses, covering global marketing, customer experience and product development and leading the global business for Technology, Commercial, Light Industry and Cities sectors.This role sits in the Global Marketing team in GCS and is responsible for leading and delivering the B2B Insights programme for RES with strong collaboration across Sectors and Decarbonisation.Excellent customer understanding is the foundation of our business and fundamental to the development of relevant and differentiating customer value propositions and experiences. This is a key role in the global marketing team and works closely with the global B2B brand and sector marketing managers as well as collaborating with regional and local stakeholders in the IGR&ES business and with Downstream B2B Insights counterparts to provide one view of the B2B customer where required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture key B2B insights to build and maintain global customer understanding models
  • Support the delivery of customer inspiration activities across the business to uncover new perspectives that drive long term marketing strategy and ensure the voice of the customer is heard in business decisions
  • Seek and identify opportunities for cross business B2B customer synergies enabling a customer centric and seamless experience of the Shell brand for our different customer groups. Support the creation and delivery of the Global Marketing Insights team content programme, including plan development, sharepoint updating and bulletin content creation
  • Work alongside B2B marketing to embed customer insights into marketing activations across sectors and markets

Requirements:

  • Experienced in effective stakeholder management across multiple levels in the organisation
  • Skilled at interpretation of customer insights and proven ability to translate insights into actionable business implications, with excellent verbal and written communication
  • Inquisitive, self-starting, comfortable with autonomy and putting your opinion forward
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability in project delivery
  • Able to manage and extract the best from agency partners
  • A strong interest in developments in the energy transition and related macro industry trends: good knowledge of the broader energy transition business and technology innovations will be an advantage
