Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity at a pivotal time for the BBC. You will be instrumental in helping the BBC to deliver comedy & entertainment programming to BBC audiences across all its platforms (BBC1-4 and iPlayer) securing rights and managing risks across the portfolio of programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the negotiation to secure key production resources with external suppliers ensuring investment meets stakeholder and audience expectations.
- Work alongside the Head of Business to ensure that staff development and opportunities are prioritized in line with the future strategy.
- Oversee and test plans for business continuity and disaster recovery across BBC Sport.
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of the way in which programmes are commissioned, financed and produced.
- Broad and comprehensive understanding of all legal, contractual agreements and regulations as they apply to programme making, broadcasting and digital media.
- Extensive experience in managing significant budgets and understanding key financial drivers.
