Job Description


We are looking for experienced translators to work on academic manuscripts written in Korean/Chinese. To qualify, you must have technical expertise in your field. Experience working in a foreign-language setting will be preferred. Essentially, your work will involve translating an academic research paper from the original language to native English.

Responsibilities:

  • Art – Art, Media, Communication

  • Earth and Environmental Science – Earth, Atmospheric, Planetary, Energy, Sustainability
  • Engineering – Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum
  • IT – Computer Science, Information Technology (IT)
  • Life Science – Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant and Animal Science
  • Medicine – Medicine, Surgery, Nursing, Physiology, Healthcare, Oncology, Cardiology , Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology etc.
  • Physical Science – Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science
  • Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Korean, Simplified Chinese (essential)
  • Native-level fluency in English (essential)
  • Telecommute from anywhere in the world

  • Get an inside view of research carried out worldwide
  • An understanding and knowledge of technical terminology as expressed in the native language as well as in English is highly preferred
  • Expertise/an advanced degree in any of the following fields:

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of translation experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word
  • Strong time management skills (you will be required to work on deadlines)
  • Ability to work independently
