Position Title: Finance Officer

Job Description:

Shape better services as a Scheme Pensions Payroll Administrator (fixed term contract) Key responsibilities

  • As directed by the Finance Team Leaders process transactions on the pensioner administration and accounting systems in an accurate and timely manner
  • Communicate with all stakeholders in an effective, efficient and professional manner
  • Meet all deadlines for the provision of financial information, payments and statutory returns
  • Input contributions data into the Employer module
  • Liaise with employers to resolve reconciliation queries and MCR errors

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and report risks and breaches immediately to your line manager and/or the Operational Risk and Compliance Department
  • Regularly review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and controls and make suggestions to continually enhance service delivery, improve processes and reduce potential complaints and business risks
  • Adhere to the ISO and investors in People standards, Quality Management System and comply with pensions and FSA regulations and initiatives, for example, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)

Requirements:

Essential

  • Academic qualifications in Maths and English
  • Competent with Excel and Word
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and quality

Desirable

  • Studying for or in possession of a Finance qualification
  • Experience in a Finance environment
