Job Description

The Real Estate Strategy and Transactions function is responsible for the delivery of all transactions (build, purchase or lease), creating a single point of accountability for the delivery of space globally. Leveraging the inputs from the Workplace Experience team, they will devise and develop a detailed pipeline of real estate options to meet the needs of the business and discuss directly with landlords, developers and property owners to provide Google with the best economic and business outcomes available for Google’s real estate needs. Real Estate Strategy and Transactions should consider the risk, resilience and cost of Google’s real estate on the business and implement the strategy seamlessly across multiple cities and regions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other regional transactional coordinators – sharing knowledge, best practices, and ideas for system and process improvements
  • Craft and maintain process documentation and playbooks as needed
  • Be responsible for data in the real estate management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance over the full life cycle of space, from entry and documentation collection through to the collation of approvals, signatures, and ongoing administration through to termination
  • Track critical dates, such as expirations, renewals, notice periods, break options, etc for specific transactions and overall portfolio, in conjunction with lease admin
  • Support Transaction Executives with documentation related to the transaction process such as agreement sheets, Letters of Intent, Engagement Letters, notices and other items and in preparing, coordinating, and completing approval packages as needed

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment
  • Experience working with real estate management software
  • Experience in process and/or project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of reviewing statutory compliance documents
