Position Title: Talent Partner

Company: ASOS

Location: Leicester, UK

Job Description:

We’re on a mission to transform what learning means to ASOS. To help us on the journey we are looking for someone that can shape our early talent strategy with the ambition of achieving greater levels of maturity from our levy spend.
You’ll work with the business and wider PX team to deliver early talent programmes that build the critical skills required for the future, making sure we have the right people, on the right programmes, at the right time. To do this, you’ll need to develop relationships with apprenticeship providers and work with them to deliver future focused programmes that increase technical and people capability across ASOS globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with the PX teams to understand their business areas and needs so you can make informed recommendations and build early talent strategies
  • Influence HR teams and business leaders to utilise the UK apprenticeship infrastructure for entry level roles in areas where a professional qualification is required / it’s hard to source talent e.g. finance, tech
  • Work in collaboration with the wider Learning team to target strategic areas and propose apprenticeship and/or graduate programmes to build future capabilities and reduce attrition e.g. software developers, buying & merchandising
  • Design a world class ASOS University (degree level apprenticeship programme) considering attraction, assessment, induction, development and on the job rotations. The kind of programme people will turn down a university place for
  • Design, develop and manage induction development interventions so grads and apprentices are “work ready”, gain a broad understanding of their immediate function, the wider business and build a global graduate community.
  • Identify capability needs, design and deliver quarterly development days for graduates/apprentices
  • Ensure graduate/apprenticeship managers gain the relevant training so they can support the success of their direct report(s)

Requirements:

  • A strong relationship builder and creative thinker who can develop innovative, cost-effective solutions that build critical capabilities.
  • A delivery-focused executor, who thinks about the outcomes needed for success, thinks about how to get there and flags early when there are obstacles in the way
  • A robust character, who is comfortable dealing with change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Our job is about shifting mindsets, and to do this we need to push people out of their comfort zones.
  • A passion for getting the best out of people through development.
  • A creative mindset who draws from traditional and non-traditional learning solutions to solve problems.
