Responsibilities:

  • Applying technical expertise in the particular area of applied science, such as developing new testing protocols/techniques, the interpretation of product data for assessment of product performance and identifying key product levers in order to support the delivery of development programs
  • Working closely and to assist the Science II role in executing elements of applied science activities with the aim to be upskilled and build personal capability, acquiring greater depth and breadth of knowledge in this space
  • Having an understanding of product specific science, delivering the required activities in line with project timescales and launch deadlines
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of product and product testing requirements, resulting in agile delivery of science activities and providing support to product developers

Requirements:

  • Product Science testing techniques (e.g. analytical) to provide a robust scientific testing approach to support product development including the identification of product performance levers and appropriate measures
  • To have a developing knowledge of New Category Products composition, function, operating principles and testing approaches
  • Some experience in the interpretation of scientific data to inform agile product development
  • Ability to apply scientific learnings from first principles to enable the effective delivery of product science testing solutions
  • Strong skills in the interpretation of data and reporting (written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to develop both individual and team technical capabilities
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field of science (i.e., chemistry, materials science, food science, physicochemistry etc.).
