Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity at a pivotal time for the BBC. You will be instrumental in helping the BBC to deliver comedy & entertainment programming to BBC audiences across all its platforms (BBC1-4 and iPlayer) securing rights and managing risks across the portfolio of programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Roll out the new Policy Framework to HR and the Business Overall
  • Bring together the people, data, and information to define a problem and facilitate the identification of solutions
  • Evaluate new concepts, ideas and options, and formulate a recommended course of action to address issues.
  • Influence BBC strategy by delivering change programmes that deliver outcomes against strategic objectives

Requirements:

  • Exercises high levels of persuasion and negotiation in situations where strong opposition or a number of divergent views exist.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; develops, maintains and enhances long-term relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
  • Management of budgets more than £20m and 20+ staff, or significant business area impact (preferably within a media or property/facilities management environment).
  • A record of delivering innovation with an appreciation of changing technology and working practices across the media industry
