Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the safe implementation of changes across our platforms by collaborating with delivery teams to change is transitioned safely to Operations support. Ensure we have run books and process that is fit for purpose and an Operations team who are fully training in all aspects of service support.
  • Respond to Service Incidents ensuring that services are restored as quickly as possible, and root cause analysis of the incident is taken on board and dealt with where relevant.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the myriad of systems that combine to deliver the Adsmart targeted advertising product to Sky’s customer base so you can provide expert consultancy on any new initiatives or significant service impacting incidents.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years prior experience in a customer support position, with a focus on supporting complex distributed systems
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis/ SQL and ideally some capability with scripting
  • A technical background with experience of working with cloud-based technologies
  • A willingness to occasionally work unsociable hours and once you have the relevant expertise to be available for out of hours on call rota.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring and dashboard tools such Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Vector and more in support of maintaining Rest APIs.
