Position Title: Material Handler – MegaFactory

Job Description

Tesla is recruiting for Material Handlers at our Energy manufacturing site in Lathrop, CA. The successful candidate is a versatile material handler that can safely perform shipping and receiving functions, ensure accurate parts put-away, and parts delivery to the assembly line. Other roles include pack-out and loading the finished product and preparing shipping paperwork as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all receiving and conveyance and material movement functions
  • Meet daily safety, quality, and delivery targets for the shift
  • Receive and transact material from trailers and into the warehouse
  • Receive and transact material from the warehouse to the assembly line
  • Unpack and replenish parts to supermarkets or lineside racking systems
  • Stack/unstack, put away or retrieve material as needed
  • Follow standard work instructions within a defined work schedule
  • Recommend safety, quality, or efficiency improvements
  • Escalate issues, and support daily problem-solving as required
  • Support management of inventory including the ability to cycle count if needed
  • Get things done in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in operating forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
  • A strong understanding of receiving, conveyance, and warehouse operations
  • Working knowledge of handheld computers or scanners and inventory control systems
  • Ability to lift packages, boxes and/or bins up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Capable of fostering a team-player culture with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience with WARP, MES, MOS, MFS, MTT, and Replenishment Orders, are desirable
  • Shift flexibility: able to support dayshift or afternoon shift; and AWS or standard work schedule
  • Must have a valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record (subject to verification)
